Discussion thread for my new "MicasaVerde Vera Controller" plugin.

Short description:
Control your Vera controller from MediaPortal.

• Supports Scene triggers for starting, hibernating and exiting MediaPortal
• Also starting, pausing and stopping media streams.
• So automatically:
  • dim your lights and close the curtain when MediaPortal starts a movie[
  • Flash a light when TV recordings are finished...
  • Light the kitchen lamps when you pause.
• Vera is a Z-wave home automation controller from MicasaVerde. This version is tested with Vera 2 UI4 v.1.1.1267

(Maybe compatible with other versions: Not tested please give me a call when it does work)

The PlugIn is based on the specific Vera2 UI-protocol and device structure, so porting it to HomeSeer i.m.o. will be tough.

Source code is available @ the MediaPortal SourceForge site next to the other Plugins

Great plugin!

Works with Vera Lite (v. 1.5.220).

I like how you can set the individual light levels by clicking right or left, though I think the dimming value should change a little more quickly. Doesn't work with scandinavian letters, but I'm guessing that's Vera's fault, since http://__IP__:3480/data_request?id=invoke returns the same stuff as your plugin.

I'm going to set up a few more scenes after I finish rebuilding my zwave network and test these triggers, which seem really cool.

Any chance for StreamedMP skin files?

Good plugin, but please add support Cyrillic for Room and device names I can't use it.

Good job for UI5. Don't supported skins (LCARS if possible). Interface (for mouse control) inconvenient.

Just can't get it working
I'm with MP 1.2.3.0 with StreamedMP skin. The plugin can connect to my Vera 3 (UI5) but when I launch it, it just fail and MP return back to the home menu.
Any help about that ?

Where can I find the luup code to invoke MP actions (play/pause/resume/stop for example) into a Vera scene?

It doesn't work with StreamedMP (no skin files). The dev hasn't been around here since february so don't hold your breath.

If someone knows how to make skin files for StreamedMP (or any other skin) report here, please.
