Yesterday I installed the last version of tvengine3 + svn.
I configured Powerscheduler plugin as in the wiki guide.
In the wiki I find that I haven't to put my system in the standby/hibernate state but it's sufficent to do nothing in the basic home window for 5 minutes and then mediaportal puts the system in the standby.
I tried to do this and put my system in basic home window: after 10 minutes nothing changes....
What I have to do to let Powerscheduler put my system in the standby and then handle my recordings?

    Hi,

Please be more precise about your setup (please fill in the support template when posting support requests) and tell us how you have configured the plugin (i.e. non-default settings). For example: "I'm using a DVB card and have 'prevent standby when grabbing EPG' enabled".

Also, make sure you enable extensive logging for both the TVengine3 PowerScheduler plugin and MediaPortal's PowerScheduler plugin for TVEngine3. Next, reproduce your problem and post both tv.log and mediaportal.log.

    Kind regards,
    Michel

    Hi Michel,
I filled the requested template with my configuration.
I configured the plugin as in the wiki guide: the only difference is that I setup the plugin to start a script when it wakes up.
The script is the one sent by Muldini in this thread (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...s2_3200-t20883.html?t=20883&highlight=s2-3200) which should solve the problem of standby os my card TTs2-3200.
Before this evening I retest with logging enabled, should I set something else?
    Best regards

    Hi,

If you enable "Prevent standby when grabbing EPG" and have a lot of channels configured for EPG grabbing, it might take a very long time before the system finally suspends/hibernates.

    Kind regards,
    Michel

I'm afraid the script turned out not to work all the time. If it does work for you, nice, if not you can try the following:

    Get this tool: http://www.rpi.edu/~desimn/suspendtrigger/HibernateTrigger.exe

Create a .bat file with the following content:
    Code:
    net stop tvservice
    net start tvservice

Only on resume, not on entering standby, no file in the Powerscheduler itself. This works "more often" for me but still not always.
Anyway, enough Off Topic in this thread ;)

    Regards, Muldini

    Hi Muldini,
    thanks for your suggestion.
You wrote:"Only on resume, not on entering standby, no file in the Powerscheduler itself."
Could you tell me how to configure this new solution?
Only on resume? What does it mean?
    Thanks very much

    Update.
I still not receive any reply from Muldini.... :(
    I'm waiting....
Anyway yesterday, as scoop suggested, I saw the epg option in my configuration.
As default I had to get epg from all channels.... I unchecked all and I chose only 15 channels.
I saw that tvserver is very slow to get epg: there is some channels (ex: retequattro provider mediaset) which tvserver is not able to get epg. it tried without successfull.
then I tried to restart but .... nothing: my system don't go to standby.
I suppose I have to check extensive logging and post them.....

My post was quite simple to understand already, anyway ill try again ;)

    1. Download the following file: http://www.rpi.edu/~desimn/suspendtrigger/HibernateTrigger.exe
    2. Install it
    3. Create a textfile and name it "restart.bat", save it where you installed the HibernateTrigger tool. Edit "restart.bat" and enter the following code, then save it:
    Code:
    net stop tvservice
    net start tvservice
    4. Open the HibernateTrigger Tool (should be in your taskbar). You will see two spaces where you can enter a path.
    -> standby: leave this empty
-> resume: enter the path to the "restart.bat"
    5. go to the powerscheduler plugin in the TV-Service, make sure you dont run any file from there (under the "advanced" tab i think)

    Kind Regards, Muldini
