Plugin similar to yac caller id (1 Viewer)

I have some home automation stuff doing heating, caller id lookup a db, alarm etc. Written in vb some of it going on a decade and still running.

It would be neat to blast some of this data onto media portal via a socket similar to yac and the yac plugin but with more control passed in the message to format the look of the popup with the ability to say

pause or not pause portal
popup displaytime
popup postion
text colours - for level say for a warning or alarm
display popup or on background
etc.

Could anyone knock this up ? its beyond my limited vb programming

I second that!

Perhaps a minor change in the yap-plugin: It would be nice if the plugin could automaticly pause mediaportal or turn off the volume if a call is coming in. Perhaps this could be a customer specific setting in the config dialogue.
