Possible to record Dish Network HD? (1 Viewer)

I'd like to record my LEGAL (ie. paid for) Dish Network HD content onto my HTPC. I know I can capture the output via component but that's just re-encoding the signal. I'd like to capture the MPEG-4 stream itself.

I've heard about using a Skywalker-2 capture card but I think need something else...

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

What technology is dish network hd?
How do you normally watch it?
Output of what can you capture?
