I've got a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1600 ATSC/Digital/Analog TV Tuner PCI Card and the performance on it is not the best. The TV service locks up at times with Digital tv (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...v-server-90/tv-server-keeps-locking-up-59503/) and sometimes when i select a channel i get the audio but no video (it stays at the tv listings page) and MP locks up

So i guess what tv tuners is everyone else using? Any issues with them? Mine takes a while to change channels, hows the performance for everyone else?

I am using a Hauppauge HVR1300 (analog/DVB-T hybrid) with an analog source (UPC cable)and I am not satisfied with the quality. Whether it is the analog reception or the on board MPEG encoding I don't know, but I am also looking for a better solution. Unfortunately it seems all hardware manufacturers are focusing on DVB (T/C/S) cards now and a good quality analog card with proper MPEG encoding is hard to find.

I also have a FloppyDTV and that gave excellent results for a while until UPC started encrypting all channels (even the public broadcast ones!). I am hoping that UPC will come up with a solution where their smartcards are no longer locked to their own decoders. I am prepared to pay extra for extra smartcards and CAMS to be able to use the DVB-C signal in my HTPC again. Until that time I am stuck with analog...

So... anyone know of a really good quality analog card?
