If you configured user action like the power off button for sleep mode, the PC will goto away mode instead of sleep mode, if necessary. All user action configured to hibernate, will hibernate the PC - independent of away mode requested or not. This is the reason why hybrid sleep is recommended instaed of hibernate as standby mode.
