I use PScheduler to manage the power settings on my htpc. I run the machine from another machine using uvnc.

Just wondering, does anyone know if its possible for it to recognise a 'live' vnc session as a process to prevent standby? (as opposed to just the vnc server running with no connection and allowing standby when no connection is present?)

using real vnc i put vncclipboard.exe as process to deny power event.. that way server stays on-line when there are clients connected..

    Thanks Silent~

I had a look but vncclipboard.exe does not come up as a process for uvnc. So, then I ran it, checked the processes, stopped it, checked the processes again but could not identify anything running that was specific to a connection. I guess this means it doesnt look too hopeful...

If you've got the latest Powerscheduler with the 'network monitor' section you should be able to prevent standby when network traffic is above a certain level which could work for VNC.
