Hi all.

I just took a quick look of this thread.

For the qui development in linux i just suggest wery strongly using Qt(Qtopia). See http://www.qtsoftware.com

For example Google earth is created with Qt. It Is open source. I've been studying it about year now in office, and i like it.

It Crossplatform sdk, meaning code once, compile into linux,windows,mac.

If you  want one can mix platform specific code and Qt code. Of course that breaks cross compile compatiblity.

For multimedia i have not checked it, but for gui it's marvellous.
