I have now replaced all the good old fire and floppydtv's with Digitaldevices cards because the digital everywere products did not work so well with W7 dues to the requirement of the legacy firewire driver. Also one of the firedtv's *burned* to death. :(

A opinion I do not share when it comes to W7. But no real point to argue about this. From personal experience I can tell that W7 is one hell of a lot better than winxp in every regard (stability, networkspeed/filetransfer, videoimagequality)

If you have a installation DVD and a serial, you can install it on any PC.

As far as I remember it's mainly those PC/notebooks without an install dvd that are "hoocked" to the hardware. At least in WinXP days this was the case. Can't say for sure for W7.
