Hi guys,

I'm still a newb, even though I've been fiddling with the settings of MP for the past few weeks with multiple installs after having channel problems.

I've built up my actual HTPC after trials with an old PC (which wasn't fast enough for the job) and wanted to be able to simply use my WebEPG.xml file I'd configured before, for my WebEPG_config.

My intention was to reuse the WebEPG.xml file I generated for all the channels I want, and replace that into my current installation location.

Being XML, I edited it manually, and running the WebEPG_conf will pre-load these files no problems, however the TVGuide.xml is not generating properly. It leaves the 'writing' version even once the process is finished, and in turn doesn't load the programme data when I look at the Guide within MP.

Asterix channels
Also, when I associate a channel with an EPG email location, I have an Asterix version of the channel.
Channel123 becomes Channel123*.

Questions:
- Whilst I can remove this channel from within the MP_setup, is there any harm in doing so?
- Is there any need to keep these duplicatechannels?

What does the log say? There should be a message in the log if the process is finishing and the "writing" file is still there.
