For some reason when i try to parse a directory of episodes it sets everything to lower case. is there someway to preserve the case information from the original file? i looked around for a setting but did not find anything relating to this.

any help would be greatly appreciated

Im running vista with the latest SVN of mediaportal and the latest TV-Series plugin.

Thanks,

Another Test

I decided to try out the older version of this plugin and it seems to import case information. Below is a screen shot of an older version and the newest version, both using the same parsing expressions and stock string replacement expressions. any help with this would be greatly appreciated as i would like to use the newest version of this great plugin.

Whats the problem with lowercase, you shouldn't see those values anyway apart from during import?

It does a case sensitive match with thetvdb.com, thus finding "house" different from "House" for example. i know if the other option of, if only one is found automatically match it to that but i would rather not check that in case it finds something else that doesn't match up correctly. Also all the TV shows that have been imported show up as lowercase when displayed in mediaportal, so it is not only during the parsing process.

i also find this same issue and thought it was a bug not a feature.

the lower case series names never match the thetvdb.com db entries that are properly capitalised.

furthermore if an episode does not match the online database it uses the title extracted from the filename and this is also converted down to all lower case.

The strings are lowercased on both ends and therefore guarantee the best possible match. This is a regular way to handle such issues.

furthermore if an episode does not match the online database
    Yeah... that should be "fixed".
