Hello all
Apologies if this question has been answered before but I've searched and not found an answer...

How can I stop the "PC Power" button on my MCE remote from putting the PC into standby while a recording is in progress?

Thanks!
Mark

    Hi Mark,

normally it should be already included in there. If it is not working then please include the Mediaportal.log file as zip in your post and I will double check it.

    Hi Bavarian,
Thanks for the quick reply & thanks for the PowerScheduler plugin! :D

I've attached my log file and a short transcript of events as I experience them.

    Code:
02:35:08 Start Mediaportal (No existing timers)
    02:35:49 Create New Advanced Timer (BBC NEWS 24 02:50 - 03:20)
02:35:57 Return to home screen - idle
    02:39:44 Auto standby

02:44:01 Auto resume (Showing home screen - idle)
    02:45:00 /// Should pre-recording start here?
    02:47:41 Auto standby

02:48:02 Auto resume (Showing home screen - "REC" & no picture displayed)
    02:48:10 Recording in progress

02:55:05 Press "PC Power" button on MCE Remote
    02:55:06 Standby

02:55:30 Press "PC Power" button on MCE Remote
    02:55:30 System resumes

A couple of things leap out at me...

First thing is the "extra" wakeup/suspend at 02:44/02:47. I think this has something to do with the 5 minute pre-recording value I have set. It doesn't seem that MP honours the pre-recording value for manual timers though.

Second thing is at 02:55 when I press the power button on the remote. The system waits about a second and then goes to sleep, even though there is a recording in progress.

    Thanks for investigating!
    Mark

    Hi Bavarian

I've just re-tested this with SVN Build 12424 (30.12.2006 / 1:55 CET) and can confirm that the original issue is fixed. :D

I have discovered another issue but I'll open a new thread for that.

    Thanks again
    Mark
