Subject more or less says it all.

I have a server running TVE3 and also acting as a singleseat client at the same time.
I have 2 multiseat clients in my setup.

I'll try and eleborate on the problem.
When I change to channel A from one DVB device (dvb-t) to a channel B on another DVB device (dvb-s) the channel change does not happen. The TV button on the MP client GUI is ticking itself to the OFF position. If I try to activate that same channel B again it works.
Going from ch. B to ch. A does not work either.
Also when changing ch. back and forth on the same DVB device, no problems!!!

When monitoring this on the server TVE3 GUI I can see the following.
    (initial start of TVE3)
    DVB-t idle
    DVB-s idle

(client changes to ch. A dvb-t)
    DVB-t Timeshifting channel A
    DVB-s idle

(client changes to ch. B dvb-s)
    DVB-t idle
    DVB-s Timeshifting channel B

    (3-4 seconds passes)
    DVB-t idle
    DVB-s idle

    Somehow the tvserver stops timeshifting.

The problem does not occur when running singleseat on the server.
When I run on the networked multiseat clients the problem occurs and is 100% reproducable on all my clients. Even tried to uninstall ...delete MP dir ... reinstall, problem persists.

This problem has been introduced since about 2 weeks ago. It has been working fine for a long time in fact.

    client : MediaPortal-svn--03-20-2007--21-38-Rev13504.exe
    server : tvengine3-03-20-2007--20-13h--Rev13503.zip
    XP pro on all PC's

    dvb-t : yakumo quickstick usb2, bda drivers.
    dvb-s : skystar2 WDM beta drivers.

Hope someone here gives a rat's behind about this :)
    Otherwise gr8 work as always.

    :D

Ok, I decided to do a clean install of the TVserver part.
This means, wiping the tvlib. database + uninstall of tvserver.

    Then installed ; tvengine3-03-22-2007--20-19h--Rev13521.zip

Scanned the same channels once again.

The problem still persists as described above.
I wonder why no one else has mentioned this problem.
Perhaps b/c I am a multiseat fanboy and most ppl around here are single seaters ?

These are often read, but may not be acknowledged for a while and that may be a week.

Someone else will try and follow your problem step by step, to reproduce the error.

Remember being a tester requires a great deal of time and patience, and most of these people also have lives\families outside MP.

Thanks for testing\reporting and being precise to be able to reproduce.

Yep, I'm getting the same problem, it is happening on all my network clients.

Unfortunately I can't remember the number of the last svn that was OK.

Yeah I've also seen this problem. On a clean load. In my case between DVB-S and analog

    Just a reminder.

This is still a problem on the latest SVN's.
Seems like most people are running single seat, since the problem does not exist there.

Yes, I've been having this problem too, exactly as described. When you watch the server on the manual panel timeshifting starts on the new channel but then stops after about 2 seconds.

I have the exact same problem here, when I change from a DVB-T card to a DVB-S one or viceversa.

I too have the same problem. My workaround right now is to hit stop button before changing to another tv card.

This also happens when changing from one video to another video, video to TV, TV to video, so this might be mediaportal's player bug.
