Problem on IR Remote Control (1 Viewer)

I am using a TechSolo HTPC with Win 7 and MP Version 1.0.2

The remote will work fine with MCE, but it will not work with MP. Only the arrow keys and the OK key will function, but they will do this with or without the MCE Remote activated in the configurator under "Remote".

Looks like I am missing a master switch or a driver?

Sounds like a fun situation...

First, while in MP, if you press H on the keyboard, does it return to the Home menu?

If you dont mind yet another program...try using Event Ghost. I use it with the Short Cutter plugin to do advanced buttons that MP cant do (or expect to do since I launch cmd events with it too).

Install Event Ghost (small size, but still another program).
Get the short cutter plugin --> install --> Click reset in the config --> click update and close. This sets the defaults.
Make sure in MP Remote config that you want the MCE remote to control MP.
To create an event is simple. Press the key on the remote to see what Event Ghost calls it.
Follow EG documentation to create an event (like assigning H to the MCE Green Key).
Whole process should take 20 minutes (if you can wait, I can create the xml when I get home)

What should happen is when you press the Green MCE Window key, it should go to the home screen in MP (make sure MP has focus). H is a standard button in MP.

The beauty of Event Ghost is that you can tell EG to make MP the focus to process. I do a lot of tweaking on the other monitor since I have a new setup. Nothing like sitting down just to get back up to make MP the focus (Im a lazy bum btw).
