    Hi,

This one has been around for a while, and is probably related to this

0001472: total playtime of in progress recording does not update while watching from inside "recordings" - multiseat only - MediaPortal Bugtracker

Problem: If you try to watch a recording which is in progress, you can't watch more than was recorded when you started watching.

For example, start a recording at 9pm. Start watching it at 9.05pm. The playback will just stop at 9.10pm.

This happens every time on the client (not tested on server). This seems like quite a show-stopper.

I will provide logs if necessary.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

Working fine here. Last night tested. I started watching when show was recorded 10 minuts.

for me same Problem, causes BSOD on the End of Recording, while watching it till end...

my HDD gets Failure, seems to be damaged. Thought, the Bugg occures because of that.

    I have the same problem.

    Start a recording or timeshift.

pause timeshift for X minutes ( or start tp watch reording befor the recording has ended )

watch until 1:st comercial press +15sec forward and the playback is throws some where else. usual untill end of timeshift or recording. and as stated inside the bug report the "total" recorded time is not updated correctly.

    regards / Jernis.

Was this on a client on a multiseat system?

I need to do some more testing an provide logs.

    Hi,

I spent an hour or so last night trying to reproduce this problem in order to provide logs, and would you believe I couldn't do it?

I only realised this morning that I had changed my TV codec from MPA/MPV to Cyberlink a couple of days ago, so I wonder if this is the common problem?

For the other people who are seeing this problem, are you using MPA/MPV? I will repeat my tests and see if this is the problem.

    Best wishes,

Okay, so I have tried again with MPA/MPV codecs, and I still can't reproduce this one.

What I am certain about is that when the recording failed to play properly, MP did not ask if I wanted to play from the beginning or from the live point.

I guess that unless one of the other people seeing this problem is able to reproduce this issue and provide logs, then it will have to go in the bin.

    Best wishes,

    Mark
