Problem playing .TS and TV (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone.
I don't know if this is the right place for this post since there're several things involved. Sorry if not.


I have IPTV so I've been playing around with it until (thanks to Mikeyko's plugin and filter) I got it to work well. The only thing is because of the messing aroung, I wasn't able to record tv anymore. Well, I decided to uninstall MediaPortal and Eleacard codecs (since they are not needed anymore) and install MediaPortal 1.02 again. All went well. Configured TV Server detected all DVB-T and IPTV channels etc... Then set up Media Portal and codecs and.... here came the problem.

I started MediaPortal, went to tv and I could hear iptv channels but no picture at all. I can record them from tvserver and the client and it works. I mean, I can play the files in Media Player, VLC and Graphedit. Then if I try to play them in Media Portal but again I get sound and no picture. As you can imagine I uninstalled and reinstalled all kind of codecs, even the whole MP again three times but no success. I can't find any way to fix this.


One curious thing is that I still have a previous recording (before all got messed up) and I can play that one in MP, but not the new ones. Both can be played perfectly y MediaPlayer, VLC and Graphedit.

Any clue of what could be going on?

Please, I eve restored the system to the date when it worked perfectly. No luck....

I'm pretty sure it's a codec thing but... too complex for my mind... so far.
It works perfectly in any other player that I tryed but not in MP. (by the way, I realized that if I use Haali, it doesn't get loaded with MP but it does with WMP for instance.

Please, help!!

I would run filmerit, link in signature and see if your codecs show any errors.

Thank you very much for your help. I tryed with Filmerit and it found a couple of errors. I uninstalled all codecs, run Filmerit to fix the errors and whe I had no errros then reinstalled Vista Codec Pack. (I did also the same with Mega codec pack).

No luck at all. It's still playing without picture. The thing that drives me crazy is that I can play recorded videos and also UDP stream with any other player (WMP, VLC, BS player, Graphedit, etc) and they play with sound and picture. Can not play them correctly in MediaPortal. The weirdest thing is that I have an old recording and MP plays it correctly but not the new ones. The rest of the players play correctly everyone.

I guess my only solution is to format and reinstall Vista.

Any less dramatic idea? I would really apreciate your help.
