Problem watching tv (1 Viewer)

Hi i have a problem with watching dstv thru media portal using my tv card.

Should the DSTV Cable be plugged into the tv card or still in my decoder.

I keep on getting prts blocked i have mssql installed and password and user setup correctly.

please advise should i get a tv card that can take the DSTV cable or is my card fine as it is. I dont havea card that can take the dstv cable.

Any suggestion please help

Hi there and welcome

I still use the DSTV STB with the smart card. Then running RCA cable from STB to my PVR150 TV Card.

Please consider updating your system specs.

thanks , but i currently are running the red white and yellow cable from the dstv decoder to the tv card , i cannot watch tv thru media portal i can only watch if i open the tv card software. Media portal is not seeing the tv card.

How do i setup the card is it not best to purchase a card that can accept the dstv cable plugged directly into it. Another thing. What about the smart card where does that slot into mus tthat stay inside the dstv decoder or will the tv card have a slot for it as well.

The red, white, yellow is working fine for analog TV. That is exactly how mine works.

We still do not know your system specs (ie TV Card) or your problem details. Also MP version. Etc.
