Hi,

With the newest CVS build (mediaportal-cvs-10-22-2005--23-32.rar) the computer is no longer able to find any tv cards.

No logs, this is in the setup. Please see screenshot in attached file.

regards,

Andro

If you check your Mediaportal.log file you will see a message that indicates that the "CaptureCardDefinitions.xml" file is corrupt. I was able to get around this problem by copying my previous CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file over the top of the current one....:)

still was a problem with that build. Didn't really see a corrupt file, but it might have been.

With the current build the problem is solved.

@CyberSimian this workaround worked. @TLD this hint was good because I wanted to install x64. Now I have x86 installed

You can check the MediaPortal forum for a list of compatible TV cards with MP2 and Comcast set-top boxes. The forum has a dedicated section for hardware discussions where users share their experiences. You might also want to look into the official MediaPortal documentation for any specific recommendations on TV cards. Good luck! :)

Well, the log doesn't show any problems. I can see correctly tuned channels in the log. It seems to me that the tuner works fine. Can you copy the created ts file(located in your timeshift folder) somewhere else while in channel preview and try to play it in VLC or MPC-HC? PS: You can also try to make short record
