Fiirstly, thanks to all the developers - fantastic product.

Strange problem with HD TV, worked fine in Meida Portal RC2 and RC3, broke in 1.0. Now it shows HD but only the top 1/8th of the top RH corner of the picture is shown full screen. I have tried several h.264 codecs (above), all with the same effect.

Looks very much like this old thread.

Hi Irelandp

I have just encountered the same issue having just set up MP on a second PC where HA was not required. I downloaded the coreavc trial and all I could watch was the BBC HD logo.

In coreavc configuration, try unticking the YV12 option in output formats. I can now see the full picture. No idea what it all means as I found out through trial and error.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Simon

Found solution

Thanks for your help. Your suggested "spell" did not work, however, it encouraged me to try clicking around on the CoreAvc options. I have found that if you set the Deinterlacing to "Single Frame" or "Bob", all you can see is the BBC HD logo expanded to full screen (very good description). (i.e. about 1/8 th of the actual picture)

However, if you set Deinterlacing to None, you get full screen picture (with the BBC HD logo in the top lh corner as it is supposed to be) but jaggies on fast moving pictures, set it to Hardware, you get full screen with no jaggies. Voila.

I am sure setting up a media centre is a bit like witch craft. All we do is share "spells" that sometimes work if you incant them at the right phase of the moon!. BTW - don't forget you need fresh bat's wing when setting your deinterlacing to hardware. ;)
