Hi, I have a problem with receiving DVB-T italian channels on both my machines.
Basically all primary channels work flawlessly. But, secondary (regional) channels have a series of problems:
1) Some channels show a couple of frames after tuning, and stop that way. If I record, I can watch back the recording in VLC with no problems.
2) Some channels show ok, but no audio. In Hauppauge WinTV-7 some of these channels also have no audio or have audio reproduce in a very singular way.. it's at an high pitch and fast and stuttering (my two diagnosys: 1) playing at double the rate, followed by silence because the rate mismatch led it to exhaust data OR 2) being a mono signal reproduced as it was stereo)
3) Some channels have the luck of falling in both categories ;)

On one of the machines I replaced WinXP with Win7 and used 7MC.. all channels work OK!

On the other machine, I've tried every (really) codec I could find and the problems are always there, from MPC Gabest, to Cyberlink, to ffdshow and every other I could find.

Anyone experiencing the same issues ?

Curiously, one of those channels (SAT2000 on Hotbird 13E°) does not work even on DVB-S..so it's definetely a format issue I think.

    Hi mXan,

I receive SAT2000 here on DVB-T and it works fine. As they do all my channels.

Last time I had a issue it was with "Extra1 Premium" that was like muted. It turned out to be audio format missing in my old ffdshow-tryouts build. Once upgraded all was fine even on that channel.

So I would suggest to look at my "my system" for system and software specs. If you are still unlucky please upload a small recording as per Debugging/TS-dumps - MediaPortal Manual Documentation

    Grazie chemelli,
Tomorrow I'll be out for work (bad period :() but as soon as I can I will try again your system settings and/or posting the transponder TS grab.
As now I've tried PDVD9 but it gives me the dreaded ActiveMovie window even if my hardware is perfectly DX9 compatible (it's DX10 actually).
I will reply as soon as I have more news :) :D

If using FFDShow for audio, make sure you are using a new release of FFDShow tryouts and select in audio config\codec, that MP1\MP2 are set to the libavcodec, not libmad which is the default.

    It works!

A big :D to both of you!
It worked using the latest ffdshow setup like paranoid delusion said.

For the record, PDVD9 codecs installed using.. well the DXVA.rar someone suggested elsewhere, caused MediaPortal to go in "ActiveMovie Window Hell" if any codec other than MPC was selected. Uninstalling PDVD9 codecs (even if I chose ffdshow!) solved all issues. Cool.
