Hello everbody,

I use MP for 2 weeks now and "fight" with 'Music Views' at the moment.

I have assembled this new View:
Selection: Genre
Selection: album artist; Operator: Group; Restriction: 1
Selection: Artist
Selection: Album
Selection: Titile
The reason is that I want to use 'genre' to pre-sort audiobooks, compilations, etc.
(I've tagged accordingly with MP3TagThat).
When I open this view in MP, I can see my genres.
If I choose a genre, the list is - except for the back arrow - empty.

If I use the already existing Genre-View, I can see all the albums below this genre.

Can I use operator and restriction only on the first line of the view-editor or is there a mistake in my view?

For your help in advance, thank you!

Greetings Holger

Would need to see logs to check but I am fairly sure the issue is that the two highlighted fields need to match. You need to use album artist in both or artist in both

    AW: Problem with 'Music Views'

    Thanks for Your fast reply!

I tried it with matching fields but it didn't help.

I attached the Log and a Screenshot of my view.

    Thanks again.

OK checked your logs. It will work if you remove the group on artist. i don't think grouping works at anything other than the top level of the view. I am on a train right now so can't check the code but I am fairly sure that is the problem.

OK, I made it in another way:

I changed the AlbumArtist-tagging to 'Audiobook - xy' and 'Compliation - xy'
Everything works fine and I and improved the WAF ;-))

    Thanks for Your support!
