[1.01]MediaPortal Version[/b]:
[Vista x64]Windows Version[/b]:
[E8500]CPU Type[/b]:
[2x2 gig]Memory[/b]:
[Asus PQ5 Pro]Motherboard[/b]:
[XFX 8800+]Video Card[/b]:
Video Card Driver:

The newest Frameworks installed.

When i Try to run the MP installer it unpacks the files and then gives the error: " Mediaportal.DeployTool has stopped working."

I then tried to run the "package-mediaportal.exe" from the temp folder. MP installs fine, but when i try to run MP config it gives the error: " Mediaportal Configuration has stopped working."

I have tried googling without any help...

I have tried running both install and MP as Admin, and same error...

Hope someone can helt me out.

Thanks

I'm having the exact same problem. The installer verifies the files and then proceeds just past 50% and crashes with the same error. If I go into the installer temp folder
\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\Temp\MediaPortalInstallation
and use the setup from the deploy folder it installs but then MediaPortal Configuration crashes. Ditto for version 1.0.0.

I'm running:
Vista Ultimate x86 w/SP1
AMD 64 X2 4400+
2GB RAM

I have the required .net and Visual Studio files installed.

Crash Details:

The funny thing is, that I have had MP installed on this system and it just worked fine. Then suddenly it wouldn't start giving the same error... I haven't changed anything in my system that I know off... It just stopped working...

    Can you Move\delete the mediaportal.xml found at either of the three addresses below and then try re-configuring.

    XP = C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Appdata\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal

    Vista = C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal

    c:\users\"your name without quotes"\AppData\VirtualStore\Program Files\MyApp\UserData

    Thanks for the reply.

    I have searched my drive and can't find the file. Maybe its first created when config has been run for the first time...

    Probably a little late now but I was able to fix my problem by downloading the European font update through Windows Update. Doesn't make much sense but I was going through and installing any update I could one by one and this one did the trick. Corrupt font maybe? The MediaPortal Debug-Mode did report a corrupt font the first time I ran it and was able fix that error by replacing it with the same font from another system. Maybe I had more than one and the Debug-Mode didn't catch the other.

    That could maybe be the problem. I noticed that my standard font in windows suddenly changed by itself. I will try and remember that if it should happen again. thanks
