My xp computer is equipped with a Hauppauge WinTV HVR 1200 (Model 71XX Hybrid DVB-T) tv card, but Mediacenter assumes a Hauppauge WinTV HVR 885 DBA tuner. This is reulting a channel scanning in a wrong frequency range and thus no channels are detected. How do I change that?
I know from previous attempts with other TV SW that the card has been working well, and it found all available channels.

Main problem with this card is that it is a software encoding card. Means that it is unable to provide a mpeg2 datastream to the TV-Server.
How you get software encoding working is described in the wiki.
Software Encoding Card Setup - MediaPortal Wiki

Please be aware that for analog signals, Team MediaPortal recommends to use TV-Cards that have an hardware mpeg2 encoder onboard.
