I installed PowerDVD8 this evening and changed all the Mediaportal codecs over to Cyberlink decoders so I can utilize the 9400 I have.

H.264 decoder is set to Cyberlink H.264/AVC Decoder. When I play a 1080p mp4 file (Iron Man) in PDVD8 it looks awesome. Playing the same file in Mediaportal results in washed out blacks.

I have the Nvidia driver set to let the application manage color, and Mediaportal is set to EVR. What am I doing wrong?

Make sure in Nvidia control panel under Video\TV settings you have 0-255 selected using the Nvidia settings, not the player, this should give you correct colour for your TV, using MediaPortal.

    Thanks. That fixed it.

    Just curious though...
If I have the option to let the app choose the color space or the Nvidia driver, then shouldn't MP be choosing it for me?

Or is selecting the Nvidia driver color space the way things are supposed to be done.
