Problems With MP Trying to play videos instead of VLC (1 Viewer)

Guys bit of an odd one here, I've set VLC as my external player, and that works fine, but every time I play a video within Mediaportal it plays the video fine in VLC and then when I'm finished and stop the file and close VLC Mediaportal then launches the video in the internal player from the start.

I've gone through the config menu's and everything seems to be fine, external player is pointing to VLC etc... but every time I play a video file this happens, regardless of if i'm playing it from regular my videos, moving pictures or my TV series.

Any ideas? I've searched on here, and through the manual, if the solution is in there then I'm missing it.

Watchdog is on but generating no error log so I'm stumped.

*EDIT* I've just noticed that it's not playing any sound when it re-plays the file in Mediaportals built in video player.

Ah! didn't even know Mantis existed.

Had a look, but the fix didn't seem to work, but on closer inspection I think there was a problem with upgrading my MP install as the version numbers are all over the place etc... despite me upgrading to 1.0.2.

Anyway have done a clean re-install now so it's working fine. Hadn't tweaked it too much so only need to re-do My TV Series.

ok, this seems to be a recurring problem with me an 1.0.2

but only within MP TV series.

i've tried to run the SVN that Mantis refers to but it dosen't seem to make any difference. The problem isn't if i use external player it generates a fault at the end, but it will actually play the file again in MP's internal player, as long as it has the Codec installed if i remove the codec it thengenerates the fault message.

Am i misunderstanding how to fix this problem or something? I can only find refrences to this in mantis regarding 1.0.1 and thelink to the forum thread dosen't carry the same SVN.

Any help for this would be greatlly appreciated.
