Problems With Music Library (1 Viewer)

I am having very weird issues with my music collection. I had about 6,000 songs I needed to import, when I did everything was a mess since none of my ID3 tags were organized. So I decided to completely reorginaize my music folder by starting off with a blank directory and editing the ID3 tags using an editor.

I added a very tiny percentage of my 6,000 song collection, just a few albums. What I am finding is that already everything is screwed up even though the ID3 tags are perfect. First off under album view not all of my albums have all the songs added. There are some albums that will only show a small number of the tracks even those all the tracks are in the directory and everything is tagged correctly.

Second, when I switch to artist or album artist view I see all the artists in my collection. But no matter what artist I click on media portal shows 0 tracks for those artists.

Any help would be appreciated. I was so frustrated with this I installed the 1.1.0 release candidate (currently using 1.0.2) but it had the exact same problem.

I'm not sure what the problem is but you may want to try editing a few more tracks using MPTagThat. It's a tagger written by the same person who supports My Music. I know you shouldn't have to do that, as any tag editor should be fine. I use MediaMonkey personally. But if you use MPTagThat and still don't get good results in MP, then at least you have narrowed it down that it's not the tags and something else is wrong. Just something for you to try.

It actually turned out I wasn't modifying the album artist tag which was causing the problem with songs in one album being split up.

The second issue with songs not showing up had to do with my views not being set up properly. So I got both issues fixed, sorry for not posting back. Thanks for the reply.

I am also facing the same problem with my music library. Even I edit a few more tracks using MPTagThat. Please suggest what should I do?

Make sure the album artist ID3 tag is set correctly, this was my issue.
