Problems with TT S2-3200 for DVB-S2 (1 Viewer)

Hi!

I am using the Technotrend budget S2-3200 TV-card on a Vista-64 computer. I have not been able to receive any DVB-S2 channels with symbol rate 30000. I receive several DVB-S2 channels with lower symbol rate. I have included a log file where I first choose a working channel (SR<30000) and then a non working channel (SR=30000). I have very little experience in analyzing log-files. Could someone please help me to explain what the problem is or where to start my analysis!?

Hi.

I have a same card and same satellite, and I can watch Eurosport and Dicovery HD just fine, according to "kingofsat"
they are also transferred with symbolrate 30000. Also From your log i saw that you tried TV4 HD, from that same transponder I can watch History and Animal planet HD just fine. You can see my system in left pane. Main differens is that i'm using win 7 x86.

I can't test TV4 HD as in finland subscription has different local channels.

edit: I might be CAM problem, because some cams are not happy with those symbolrates. TT S2 3200 itself works fine.
If you have a freind with different conax cam, ypu might want to borrow it and give it a try. I have Dilog Conax cam, which is working okay.

Regarding CAM, I use a Conax CAM 4.00e. I have not tested with any other CAM, only with the CAM-less solution that we should not talk about in this forum. I have also done tests with the CI-module outside the HTPC-chassis. All trials without any success.

I have done the same test as before but with Animal Planet HD instead of TV4 HD. Could you please compare with your log and see if there are any differences.

So basically TsReader directshow filter can't find audio and video streams from the buffer file, which is coming from tuner.
And I can't think of any other reason,than that there is something wrong in decryption. I was just wathing animal planet HD and it is working fine.

Oh and one another thing. Have you scanned channels from satellite lately. In finland cd site was note that scanning should be done between 6.1.2010 <-> wasit? 13.1.2010.
Because lot of channels have changed their freq and transponders in Thor. Just thought that maybe some old transponders have sopped streaming data.

I never tested another CAM. I suspected the driver and wanted to wait for Mediaportal 1.1.0 and change to Windows 7 32-bit, which worked fine for another user. HOWEVER, just changed to 1.1.0 and windows 7 yesterday, no success....... I guess I need to check with another CAM. Have you been able to test another cam?

I can confirm that Conax CAM 4.00e is the root cause to the problem. I purchased Dilog, CA-Modul, Conax CAS 7.0 at Misco.se instead. Now everything works without problem.

Hello,

I have some issues also with S2-3200, maybe te3hpurp can give me some hints.

The card works fine under Vista 32bit, MP 1.0.2-1.1.0RC3. But under Windows 7 32 bit + MP 1.1 I get a lot of "cannot start graph" with "no PMT found" errors in the log. I tried several drivers without success (5.0.0.6, 5.0.0.12, 5.0.0.19, 5.0.2.1 beta for Window 7). Scanning channels are no problem, everey channel is found. I use a diseq switch for 2 dishes.

I don`t want to go back to Vista only becouse of this... Any help appreciated!
