Problems with VCD (Virtuell Clonedrive) (1 Viewer)

Hi - and again thanks for this great plugin.

I'm currently using VCD to play .iso-files. Using "My Videos" I have no problem (using "shares view"), but MovingPictures thorws an error.

This is what I did:
- Entered MovPic -> Tried to start iso (Madagaskar2)
- Got error ("Virtual drive not ready" or something)
- Entered MyVideos - played the file fine

The .iso does get mounted correctly

Have you tried clicking retry? I know using VCD isn't entirely compatible with the DaemonTools class we use from MediaPortal. I have VCD myself too so i will see what i can do to prevent this.

Ok i will check this myself later.. no promise on milestone yet. Currently busy with some artwork logic improvements.

@ readers, anybody else experiencing the same issue as Spragleknas when using VCD?

No hurry I think Manfred is the one who is most familiar with VCD - if you want to talk to a team-member.

Not sure if significant, but I am also using another Slysoft product Did not try without. (As I said: Works fine using MyVideoes via shares).

Hi,

with VCD the resume, works ok ?

I am asking this because all works ok with DT, but I can't get resume to works with VCD mounting ISO image from a DVD, it always start playing from the beginning....

I have nailed the situation down to "Moving Pictures" plugin, because everything works as it should with VCD and "My Videos", outside the Moving Pictures plugin.

Please advise.

Hi,

The problem was solved on my two HTPCs by deleting movingpictures.db3, and reimporting all the movies info, with the VCD setup as "Daemon Tools" on MP.

No both HTPCs works ok within Moving Pictures and My Video. VCD is much faster than DT and don´t show the mounting/unmounting message box.

My assumption is that Moving Pictures may keep in the config some kind of pointer for the "original" DT drive (that I originally used), even when the MP setup is changed to use VCD as DT.
