After using XMLTV trouble free for some time now...am currently having problems.

XMLTV Mapping tab has no 'checked' channels....consequently none shown in guide.

Also...TV Services often SLOW to start.....and then unstable when it does start....then once again, slow to resume.

Logs attached....help please!!

    Hello

XMLTV Mapping tab has no 'checked' channels....consequently none shown in guide.
The checkboxes in the XMLTV plugin mapping section are read-only copies of the checkboxes in the "TV Channels" section. If you want channels to be visible in the guide then tick them in the "TV Channels" and/or "radio channels" section(s). This is the way TV Server and the XMLTV plugin have always worked. Is it possible you have confused yourself somehow?

Also...TV Services often SLOW to start... ...then once again, slow to resume.
    I'm not seeing this.

A sample of the most recent TV Server startup times:
    [collapse][2015-11-15 18:04:11,087] [Log ] [8 ] [INFO ] - TV Service: Starting
    ...
    [2015-11-15 18:04:12,596] [Log ] [TVService] [INFO ] - TV Service: Started

    [2015-11-15 17:28:59,202] [Log ] [8 ] [INFO ] - TV Service: Starting

    [2015-11-15 17:29:05,639] [Log ] [TVService] [INFO ] - TV Service: Started

    [2015-11-15 17:22:39,194] [Log ] [8 ] [INFO ] - TV Service: Starting

    [/collapse]

None of those startup times seem particularly unreasonable.

If you think I've missed something then please:
    1. Specify dates and times when you thought TV Server started or resumed slowly.
    2. Give an indication of what you would define as "slow".

...and then unstable when it does start...
Please specify what you mean by "unstable".

The only thing I can see in the log files that might fit your description is that TV Server sometimes fails to start timeshifting. For example:
[2015-11-15 17:51:54,932] [Log ] [7 ] [INFO ] - Controller: find free card for channel BBC One HD
    ...
    [2015-11-15 17:51:55,919] [Log ] [7 ] [INFO ] - dvb: RunGraph returns: 0x8007001F

Then later it starts working again for no apparent reason:
[2015-11-15 17:58:37,943] [Log ] [27 ] [INFO ] - Controller: find free card for channel BBC One HD
    ...
    [2015-11-15 17:58:38,259] [Log ] [27 ] [INFO ] - dvb: RunGraph
    [2015-11-15 17:58:38,514] [Log ] [27 ] [INFO ] - dvb: LockInOnSignal ok

As far as I'm concerned this problem has nothing to do with TV Server and everything to do with your tuner and/or Windows. I say that because that's where the referenced error code - 0x8007001F, meaning ERROR_GEN_FAILURE - is coming from.

    On that point...
Problems don't just start for no reason - they're caused by something. Your system event log is telling me that Windows updates were installed at approximately 4 PM on 15 November. If your problems started after that then I'd be looking squarely at those updates as a potential cause. ;)

    .....Whoops.....schoolboy errors here....forgot about this.....

Slow TV Services thing has been happening for some weeks now, so well before Win 10 upgrade!

Will continue to observe TV Services speed/stability issue, and report back a little more 'scientifically'!!
