using standalone 2.3RC3 although this has been like this for ages

program details missing from all programs
in this example i am going to select "backyardigans"

    MyTV->search

scroll down to backyardigans, press ok MCE highlight a program and there are no details displayed about the program
same if i press B from keyboard

BUT if i select "Starts with B" and then select backyardigans then highlight a program i get details.

Please can it show the details in first case.

    cheers!

    Hi,
Really don't understand what you mean with this, if i go into search I can search for program names or switch & search in description, but when i high light something i don't have any description(& don't think i ever had either), i'm using BlueTwo skin for testing.
Try to describe it in a 1, 2, 3, 4 step way & attach your mediaportal.log to your post after testing it.

    Regards
    Roy

Hi thanks for taking the time to investigate.

im using the default install skin.

i think ive tracked the bug down a bit further and i'll try to give clear instruction to replicate.

    1. from within MyTV select Search

    2. from the right hand side of the list of programs navigate and select ok from MCE remote a program my example is "Backyardigans"

    3. displayed should be all the "backyardigans" episodes/shows

    4. move the cursor up and down, notice that there isnt a description as to what the show is about at the bottom of the screen. This is the "problem".

to get it to display a description of the show

    1. from within MyTV select Search

    2. navigate to "starts with" and select B

    3. on the right hand side navigate to Backyardigans and select ok on MCE remote

    4. now move cursor over a show and you get the description of the program, :)

i think the default behaviour of entering the Search screen is to have "starts with" as # within this setting you dont get the description of the show/program which if you use the "starts with " and B you do get it.
if you now change the starts with B to # then you again have lost the program descriptions when you select the shows.

cant get the log at the moment as the WAF is using the box will upload tomorrow if needed.

    thanks again
