Proper Place? (1 Viewer)

In the past, I have posted questions about writing the plugin I am working on, in this forum. But, to me it seems like it would be the wrong place to post questions about programming and such (even if it is about my plugin)

Is there a location where programming issues relating to MediaPortal Plugins is to be discussed at?

If not, perhaps adding such an area to the forum would be beneficial. It would allow the 'new comers' that are new to writing MP Plugins a place to post questions about getting started, or how to interface with the current controls and such that MP has to offer.

I understand that there is a Wiki, but there are many parts of it that are not up to date, and there are pages that are not created as well. I am taking notes on the few things I have learned, so that I can create some of the wiki pages, but that will only go so far.

I think this is the right place for your posts. Although a lot of visitors will be end users, you will also get other plugin developers here.

Add a new area to forum: I am not sure if we have enough posts of that nature to create a separate forum area. And even then, you will not be guaranteed that someone will read and answer.

If you need input from a MP developer, you can try and see if someone is available on IRC.
