just saw a very nice feature on a friend's ps3.

when you play a movie, you can select an option called "scene search", that dynamically generates thumbs in chosen intervalls. clicking such a thumbnail jumps to that scene. even bigger eyecandy: when selected, that thumbnail plays for 15 seconds, then repeats.

its really cool when you look for some scene in a movie.

any possibility to recreate such functionality in mp?

Windows 7 Mediacenter has a similar function when pressing the skip button. It then displays a (not moving) thumbnail each 30 seconds per key press.

I would like this feature too instead of or in addition to the 30s/1m/3m and so on steps.
