PVR-150 MCE and IR Blaster (1 Viewer)

Hi, I was looking on Ebay for a pvr-150 card and found that the MCE edition has FM, which is good. But I was wondering: How Am I going to plug the IR blaster into this card if it doesnt have the hole for the IR Receiver?

Another question is: If I buy the PVR-150 (non MCE) edition, a generic IR blaster from ebay and plug it into the 150 card, will I be able to use my iMon remote to make the card send the blaster signals?

Any help is appreciated. I just need some confirmation before buying one of these cards for me

Hey,

I have the same card, but I'm using the MCE Remote and IR blaster. This blaster just plugs into a USB port, and not into the card itself. So as long as you have a spare USB port, you should be fine.

As to you other question, I don't use iMon myself, but I don't see any reason why you couldn't use it. You may find the IR Server Suite plugin will help you out a bit in this regard, especially if you want to control a set top box ( like cable tv, etc. ).
