Question about Extensions and plug-ins (1 Viewer)

Hello everyone,

I wanted to know if there is a difference between a Plug-in and an Extension? I know that there is a "new" installer for these things, but that not every Plug-in/Extension is able to be installed this way. Is there a how to on installing these things? I also am a little confused because there is a Plug-in folder for both the TV server and the media portal program.

Lastly I am in the US and will be using the schedule direct service and I would like to set up the plug-in/extension to get my EPG working.

if it comes with an installer, run the installer and the MP extension installer will handle where it goes.
There is no difference between an extension and a plugin with MP, it's all handled the same way.

If there is no installer, there should be directions included (or in the thread on the forums) that explain which folder the files go into, sometimes there are multiple folders that different files need to go into.
(ie: language files for translations or icons/thumbnails)
