Question about size of source code (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I recently discovered Media Portal (via a PCPlus cover disc) and I'm interested in trying to help out if I can.

Every reference I've seen to the source code size says its around 65 MB. However, I just checked out a copy using the instructions here: https://www.team-mediaportal.com/mpwiki/MediaPortalDevelopment/MediaPortalSVN

and the copy I ended up with is 1.28 GB! Even the trunk folder is 221 MB.

Is this correct?

Just the sources (not including the builds) mine is about 130mb.

The URL in that image is wrong. It has to be

https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/mediaportal/trunk/mediaportal

if you read the instructions, you will notice step5

Note: Latest sources are located in the /trunk/mediaportal folder. All other files are old and only stored as reference.

I have added the url in step3 and i will upload a new image tomorrow.

I just downloaded a freah copy of the source directory: trunk/MediaPortal and 66.20MBs were transfered, with a folder size of 159MB at the end (because SVN uses compression when downloading the source).

Edit:

Just downloaded trunk/mediaportal_gfx: 31.27MBs transfered, 62MBs on disk.

So I'd say 221MBs for the trunk is about right (159 + 62).

Not sure where the other 1GB came from tho.

I've just downloaded the source code with TortoiseSVN and the size is 159Mb in my disk... I can't find the trunk directory :?

Thats because you downloaded under the trunk directory. You don't need a trunk directory and in most cases shouldn't have one.
