Hello.

I really loved this plugin. But after trying it 2 times, had to let it go. Had many troubles getting info for some films. Like for example, REC. Wich i couldnt, by any way, make recognize it. Also other problems with others, not getting some info like director, or actors.

Dont know if its common, but at least it happened to me. Im using a script right now, wich gathers the info of my films when i run my computer. Its an external program, but it works perfectly. But i would love to see the covers on the background like moving pictures does.

Thx in advance.

Hello,
I had the same problem, and a few days ago I made a modification in the Alpacine script to get the backdrops from imdb. It worked quite well, but it had limitations with director and another fields missing from Alpacine.
So I started to modify the script (only copy and paste ideas from others ScraperScripts because I am not a programmer) and at the end I´ve managed to get all the details. It retrieves the information from imdb (actors, directors, writers,...) and the localized details (summary, genres, score, cover...) if exists, from Alpacine.:D

But I have one problem. With some films the script is unable to get the summary from Alpacine (the plugin show the imbd information). This only happens in some films and I think that it is caused because the description in Alpacine has the "<br />" tag in the code, but I'm not sure and I don't know how to fix it (as I said, I'm haven't the knowledge to do it).
I will upload the file later because I'm not at home at the moment.

Regards

Great news that theres somebody working on it. Unluckly, i know nothing or less about such things. If it may help, im using right now "infopelis". Wich is on start menu. So every time i run the HTPC, it searches for new films on a specify data folder. And retrieves the information from Filmaffinity. Maybe you can take a look on it to get some info.

Pd: Waiting for the upload to test it.

Y muchas gracias. jeje

Hi all,
This is the file I've built. Credits to all the members of this community.
I know that is not perfect and it can be improved, but it is only for testing, and in most cases it works well.

Well, after trying it, 90 % of the times works perfectly. Now i can see everything correctly, from director, to actors, sinopsis, etc. But got a couple of films wich have some problems. One is "Nunca es tarde para enamorarse", wich doesnt nearly get any info. Neither sumary, not even director nor actors, i think. The other is "El valiente Desperaux", wich gathers all the info, but the sumary.

Even with this little details, this new script works way better than the others. Maybe youre not a programmer, but you did it anyway. Thx a lot.

Updated with the IMDB script correction

Hi!

I've just updated this fantastic script with the new "version" of the IMDB script and it seems to work fine for me. I'm not a programmer and I just change the script having a look at fforde's new IMDB script, so if the are errors I will not be able to fix them.

Is anybody interested on it?

Thanks to Pedernal for his great script and to all the Moving Pictures Team for their FANTASTIC plugin.

Regards,

Aitor

Hi all,

New version of the script. Corrected the problem with imdb. It works fine in most of the films. Only sometimes you get the synopsis in english from imdb instead of the synopsis from Alpacine (it is a known problem with the Alpacine's description that I don't know how to resolve).

Is this scraper downloading the fanart (Postar and Backdrop)?

For now, the process i did was take the information from IMDb and then make a Rescanning with filmaffinity or Alpacine to obtain the spanish info.

Thanks for the work!

Yes , you have add and select it in Details Data Sources. Move the script to the first place in Movie Details, an Cover sections and it's done.
