Hello everyone. I'm building my own PVR system but I want it to have some extra features. The main features I'm aiming for is an option to rip dvds onto your HDD and have them added into your library. However, it looks like only one plugin does that and not very well.
I installed and spent many hours fiddling with Media Slayer. The DVDFab option on it doesn't work. It gives and error on start up and then requires you to manually use the program for it to continue the rip. The ImgBurn options works fine until you try to cancel the rip and then you have to manually exit the program before it will recognize the "cancel". The Internal option works fine and fast but saves in .iso format which can't be read by MediaPortal even when I add that file extension. Finally, the Mencoder works great but it takes many many hours for it to rip a single DVD. Are there any other alternative plugins for this? It's a requirement for what I'm trying to do.
Also, I haven't looked into it too much yet but I'm wondering why MediaPortal can't grab and view thumbnails of any videos you look at in your videos folder automatically. Is there a way around this?
Thanks for any help.
