Hello all! I am using a client/server setup.
In my server I am currently running 8 1TB hard drives in a RAID 5 configuration connected to a Highpoint 2320 raid controller and using a 74GB WD Raptor drive for the OS and it is connected into the MB's built in SATA ports.
My question is, is it better on my server to leave it run all the time or to shut it off every day? I only use it in the evenings most of the time so it wouldn't get used all day long until I get off of work. If I am to leave it on, should I set it to go to sleep or just leave it run as normal? I thought maybe putting it to sleep might cause some trouble when spinning back up 9 hard drives but I wasn't sure
Any input would be appreciated
