Hello,

i am using MediaPortal for years now and installed the 1.1 RC1 last week. The TV server is an Intel Atom with 2GB RAM, the 2 DigitalEverywhere FloppyDTV S2 cards (newest firmware and drivers) and windows vista business 32bit. Windows Vista Home Pro 64bit runs on the living room client and Windows XP Pro on the other client. I tried the RC1 with my two clients and get stuttering and freezes at rondom times (on both clients). It becomes unusable this way. It just happens after a while, 3minutes or an houre after starting to watch TV. Sometimes short video and audio stutterings occur, sometimes the picture+audio freeze at all and i need to restart the client (3 times the server too).

AW: random TV stuttering and freezes

I thought it could be a problem with my old PowerDVD 7, so i tried the MPC decoder, but the problem occured with it too. I watched one channel for 15minutes and it started to stutter hard again (1 frame/5sec).

Hm ok, so I will have to reconfigure the sat mirror. I tried DVB-T with my notebook as tv-server. I watched 3 houres without any problem, so the problem seems to be my sat installation.
But I wonder a bit about it, MediaPortal telles the signal level is good, i attached a screen shot.

Unfortunately BDA drivers report the signal's level & quality values in various ways (depending on the manufacturer and HW itself) so all those meters are showing is a comparable value when you adjust the signal -> worse or better. But nothing that would indicate if the quality is too bad.
