Hi All.
I have been using Mediaportal for about 12months now, this is my first time posting. Late last night I decided to upgrade to RC2 and since I have had nothing but problems. Due to me not seeing the article on the website before updating I had all sorts of problems which basically ended in me doing a complete re install of MP, TV-Series and Moving Pictures.
This morning it seemed as if everything was working properly. I needed to do some recording today so I tested power scheduler and it worked as I would have expected.
I had set up Mediaportal to tape the Chinese Grand Prix today, however, when I went to watch it tonight the first thing I noticed was my C Drive was totally full after having a little more then 2gig before starting. At this point I need to state my TV server and recording folder are on my 1.5tb drive where there is plenty of space.
As it turned out my recording had not worked at all. it died about 5min in. What is also odd is I can't see the file anywhere in Windows even though it appears in MP. After clearing some space on my C Drive I decided to do a test recording to see if my file paths were working properly, this is where I found my TV server was totally stuffed. The TV guide (from DVB) no longer works. If I try to watch a channel I get an 'unknown error'
I then tried to do a re scan in the TV Server setup where I get a message in red saying 'No Signal'. At this point I tested the card in Windows Media Centre and it detects channels fine So I believe the card is working properly.
I tried to preview an existing channel in TV Server setup where I get the message "Preview Failed: unknown error" I have rebooted, restarted the service but nothing is working.
At the moment I have 2.6gb on my C Drive, As I said my TV Server is on a totally different drive but could this be a problem?
I have attached some TV server logs (TV, EPG, ERROR from TV Server Logs and Mediaportal log) I hope this is the right thing to do? Please let me know if there is anything else that I need to add. I think media portal as a fantastic piece of software and really appreciate the time and effort people put into creating and supporting it.
Regards
Sam
