Hi there!

I've always used MediaPortal for analog viewing, but now I'm using it for viewing (digital) TV Home (Essent, Netherlands) with my TwinHan DVB-C card.

What would be the best configuration, filters, codecs etc, etc for my system, (specs below)?
I know nothing of codecs, filters, etc, so all the help would be mostly appreciated!
If the best codecs, filters, etc, are paid ones, that would be no problem. I'm glad to buy somthing if mediaPortal works best with that!

Another question: because MediaPortal is part of my home network, I would like to use a virusscanner on my system.
I use Norton Antivirus 2005 now, but I am unsure whether this slows my machine down, or whether it would have a negative effect in any other way.
What virusscanner would you reccommend, considering load and slowing down my system?

Any other recommendations for my system are mostly welcome too, of course!

Thanks in advance!
Henk.
