There are a few sections where the C++ performance and machine-nearness is needed, HTPC software doesn't fall into that category IMHO...But the nice(?) thing is that you can endlessly write threads like this and find religious fanatics that defend &quot;their&quot; favourite languages.You can write good or bad code in almost any language...
