I am about to upgrade my TV card for my HTPC. I currently have a Hauppauge WinTV1500 MCE. I am looking for something that will give me Freeview in the UK, and if possible something that will receive/record in HD?

Thanks
Allan

The NEBULA hardware is of a very high quality.

Their own software is good and NOW all of the range has BDA drivers that work well with MP.

    Hi

What you will find is at some point you will want to watch/record 2 different programs, so have a look at the WinTV-NOVA-T-500.

heres the link to the homepage http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/pages/products/data_novat500.html

With the USB issues with my card within MP cannot recommend at moment (Part PCI, Part USB).

So to reiterate, Do not worry about HD all that is a transmitted stream, so literally any decent DVB-T card will do, Its the drivers/software thats the main priority, so this one is pretty good.
If it's not on the supported card list Dman will add it.

Can see it being a very popular card for the UK.

    Regards

Ok - thanks for the tips guys. I already have a WinTV150 MCE in the machine - I assume there will be no problems running both at the same time? Also, can I get ALL freeview channels with one of these boards? i.e. will I get E4 and Film4 and such like?

    Thanks

Currently receive 55 Channels including above, and some scrambled.
    Also Freeview radio stations.

Running more than one TVcard not a problem.

Excellent. I now have freeview running nicely on the HTPC. I have 2 small queries now.

    1) Can I access any interactive content with MP? On sky I used to use bbci to watch different snooker matches or football/tennis/etc. I would like to still access this but not sure if MP or any other software supports this.

    2) I manually got xmltv to download the guide info but is there a way to do it automatically? (I have no password set for WinXP - it just auto logs in as a user)

    Thanks
