Hi

Overview:
When recording a Show which already started, the record starts at the moment you choose to record it, instead of starting the record at the time the show (or the timeshift) started, ignoring data you got in the timeshift buffer files.

My scenario:
Pausing Live TV (for about 10min in the last case)
deciding to record this show (record the show via advanced recording - weekly, not "record now") instead of watching it.
recording begins at the moment the picture has at the live tv (unshifted), and does not use anyting from the timeshift file.

Show: 23:00 - 23:30
Usual Record reserve: 3min
Timeshift started: before 22:30
Started Recording: 23:10
Expected Result: Record from 22:57 - 23:33
Got Result: Record from 23:10 -23:33

i dont know if this is a bug or a missing feature :) but since the video material is there, and i say save this show as record, i guess i could be.

But this also happens when you watch livetv with a delay, and just want to record "what you see". it always start at its currently aired.

We have this option but it's not officialy supported:

    • start Configuration.exe /DebugOptions
    • go in TV->Debug Options screen
    • select "include timeshift buffer in "Record now" recordings.

    Ah very nice :)
Should this option not be TV Server Related?

no, its indeed found in configuration.exe :) but i first tried out setuptv.exe ;)

update: this option seems not to work. i've rebooted to be sure the setting is applied.

thats already a good help, did not found this post via search.

there is more needed to try this feature (a .exe and tvnotifier activated and comskip plugin misused for it), but could not get it run anyway.
