Record or convert to mpeg2 PS (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I use MediaPortal mainly as a VCR and like it very much. So first of all thanks a lot to everyone involved in creating it!

As my media player (Pinnacle ShowCenter 200) has problems in playing back transport streams (.ts files), I have to convert my recordings to program streams (.mpg files). As I'm doing this manually file by file at the moment, I'm wondering if there's any way to either directly record program streams or automatically convert files after recording.

Any ideas?

Hi

MP only records to ts files and does not provide inbuilt auto conversion.

You can however look at other free products (like MCEBuddy - easiest sollution) to auto convert recordings.

OR if you want to use ForTheRecord, you can explorer post-processing to convert.

Great, MCEBuddy seems to be what I was looking for! I cannot believe that I haven't found it myself after spending lots of time with googling for terms like "watch folder video conversion"...
