Hi Guys,

When I select a recorded show in MP, the playback does not start, there is some issue with it.
My installation is correctly recording - this is is no problem. I can verify the .ts file is fine, it can play outside of MP in powerDVD 8... BUT! I notice WMP has the same playback issue as MP.

So I am thinking this is a codec issue, the codec isn't doing the right thing either in WMP or MediaPortal.

So... it is not obvious to me which configuration dialog within MP sets the codec that is used to play back recordings for the MP TV client.
Is it the codec set in the "videos" dialog? Elsewhere?

help is much appreciated thanks!

Try changing the .ts to a .mkv and playing it from within My Videos - because I record HD content I find having the TV recording folder listed in My Videos and changing things to .mkv works much more consistently for me - eventually I will write a bit of code to automatically rename - it's not a tidy solution but it works.
