I have had problems with my recorded TV shows. I could view TV with timeshifting, pause the show and view it later. All worked fine. I tried to record a show view with timeshifting and it worked just fine but the recorded show had no sound.
I started to suspect the codecs so I changed. But in my world a recorded TV show was a movie so I changed at the wrong place
I found out that I had to change the codec for Television and not for Movies.
With Dscaler i had no sound, now I use Nvidias Purevideo decoder and it works just fine.
How come that recorded TV ain't considered a 'movie'? To me Television is what comes through cable or air, not something from the drives...
Anyway, now it works just fine and I bow before the developers of MP
