Hi

Noticed this problem last night, normally we have TV on before watching recorded TV.
If I start media portal and try to watch a recorded program, I get a codec error box pop up, if I then go and start live TV, then go and watch a recording TV it plays correctly.
Also works if I start live TV then stop it and go and play a recorded program.
I checked all the codec settings, seem ok, not sure if this has been reported before
Can anyone confirm,
logs attached

regards
rob

can't get at HPTC at the minute but your logs appear to be where you opened live TV and then started a recording (so the good scenario)

Can you post logs in debug mode of opening MP, waiting 30 seconds or so to wait for all the startup stuff to finish and then try to play some recorded TV?

    Thanks

    Hi

logs attached, started media prtal waited 2 minutes then tried to play movie (bridget jones), play error in pop up window.
then wnet to TV and started live TV, BBC1.
stop live TV and try to play movie again, this time plays ok.

from my limited knowledge there seems to be a dx error creating graph?

    that looks a bit odd...

can you open a command prompt window (as admin on Vista/Win7) then go to MP directory
    Code:
    c:
    cd \Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server
    regsvr32 tsreader.ax

(just swap the directory name to where MP is installed)

    Does this fix your issue?

    hi

i get a popup saying that the module tsreader.ax failed to load

also there is no tsreader.ax file in that directory, tswriter is there though

the tsreader.ax file was in the mediaportal directory, registered it but still get the same error

    Hi Rob,

One of the team members had a look at your logs, and suggested that there might be a corrupt file in there somewhere. It could be worth uninstalling MediaPortal and reinstalling.

I find that the first time after booting, if I try to play a recording it does not work. Then I hit stop and play it again and all is fine. I am going to sort logs ASAP, although I do not see the error in your files.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

I have the same problem. I just followed the procedure of uninstalling everything and reinstalling. This did not fix the problem for me. If I don't start live TV before a recording I get the codec issue.

    What file could be corrupt?
