"Recording" icon in MyTV/Home screen (1 Viewer)

This may have been requested before, but I'd really like to see a "Recording" icon in the MyTV and the Home screen.
When MP starts itself for recording a TV show, it just shows the Home screen - nothing indicates that the program records something in the background. Even switching to the MyTV screen doesn't reveal this. A simple red "record in progress"-icon would be perfect.

Only switching to the TV scheduler ("Planer" in German) shows that there is a recording in progress. Switching to the "Recorded Shows" ("Aufnahmen") while MP records a show freezes MP, by the way...

It actually used to have this, not sure where it went. Used to have a red dot and REC next to it.

Hallo Waltz,

That’s not quite right. When a show is recording and you enter tv-modul there are at least two things that will indicate this.
The button “aufnehmen” changed to “beenden” and in the right corner beneath the TV preview a red dot is shown.

But I agree a red dot in all other moduls would be nice.

Well, Ralph, you're right - but at least on my MP system (using 0.1.2.0), the button change ("aufnehmen" to "beenden") occurs some seconds, sometimes even some *minutes* after switching to the TV module. The red dot is invisible for this period as well.
Trying to stop the recording while the right button misses is impossible, if I try to do it with the "Stop" button on the remote MP just freezes.

And: when I try to change the TV channel, just nothing happens - it would be great if a small window would open, telling me that there is a recording in progress and the channel cannot be changed (I've only one tuner installed).

By the way: all the red dots seem to be a bit misplaced (resolution here: 800x600, using the BlueTwo skin), their placement is just some pixels from where it should be - can you confirm this?

And: can anyone confirm that MP 0.1.2.0 freezes when you try to enter the "Aufnahmen" ("recorded shows"?) section in MyTV while a recording is in progress...? I have crashed MP many times this way and always had to kill the process.

It seems to be realised in the latest CVS (27. Juli).
But i noticed that it's at the same place, time and date are shown in tv-modul.

Maybe you could find another place (in the left upper corner)
and i think it would be enough, just to have this red dot, without the letters rec next to it.

I hope the placing will be different in the next final release. There have been several problems with icon and text placing in this (beautiful) skin from the beginning, though - esp. the "buddy" icon in the lower left can't be seen on several pages because of text and icons on top of it.
