recording not working (1 Viewer)

I am trying to get recording to work properly, i installed the 1.1.0 beta to see what it was like and i could only get recording to work on 1 channel at a time when i have a twin tuner card

(i probably didnt set it up correctly because the tv server tuning worked differently than in 1.0.2) so i fully uninstalled it and installed 1.0.2 again but now when i press record it comes up with the popup to chose between record untill manual stop or end of program but whichever i select it doesnt start recording and if i press the record button again it does nothing.

i suppose what i am trying to ask is what is the proper setup for twin tuner card, do i need to scan for channels on both tuners? that is what i have been doing so far, which is why i found the beta confusing because after scanning both tuners i get 2 of some channels and 1 of others in the all channels pane.

thanks for reply, yes i did do that and it seems to be working now but i had to completely uninstall and then start again and it seemed to work, now what is confusing is if i record one channel using the record button on the remote then try to do the same on another channel it doesnt do anything but then if i tune to that channel and press record it works (this is from the guide) is this because i am tuned into another channel?

if that is the case wouldnt it come up with an error instead of not responding? i mean its as if i didnt press anything but it hasnt lockeed up because i can still move around the guide,

ok, now recording has stopped working again but if i reinstall i think it will be ok (i am using 1.1.0 beta) so it probably is a bug but i dont want to post a bug if it isnt. at least i can fix it by reinstalling when it breaks so i can live with it,

do you think i should post a bug report? if it will be any help to anyone then i will but i dont want to hinder anyone

Maybe wait to see if it does it again, if it does then it might be a good idea to report it as a bug. hope it all sorts itself out, you shouldnt have to rely on reinstalling everytime the recording stops working.

Out of interest, which skin are you using? It could be a skin issue.

I made the bug report anyway because it might help them,

I am using the default skin at the moment but it doesnt seem to be a skin issue because it doesnt matter what skin i use it does the same thing. Also when i made the bug report i posted the log file and when i looked in there it was saying something about dialogue.dll so when i took that file out of the folder and started media portal obviously it didnt work and then i put the file back and it fixed it for a while so i am not sure why, i can post the log here but i dont want to get in trouble for posting in this and the bug report.

ok here are my logs, i am not sure if the installation log is related but i will post it anyway because that has quite a few errors that i dont know what they mean.

ps in your avatar it says about being thanked in posts i would do that but i cant seem to see where that is
